In the majority of my posts I have been writing about “being happier”, “skinny fat”, “detox juices” etc., but I have never wrote about exercising. This is why I decided to go to the gym were my boyfriend Carlos trains and interviewed him, so all of you would be able to know a little bit more about exercises and how it benefits your life. Let me start by introducing my great interviewee, Carlos Flores. Carlos is a Certified Personal Trainer in Canada with Canfitpro, he has been certified for the last 6 years. He went to school for Fitness and Health Promotion at Humber College and now, he is back in school to become an RMT (Register Massage Therapist). It is not because he is my boyfriend, but all his clients love him and are really happy with their results. Here you would be able to read the full interview: Q: Could you describe exercise in 3 words? Best Medicine for you. Q: What are the benefits of exercise in your life? Some benefits include increased cardiovascular capacity, decrease cholesterol levels, tension, blood pressure. Also, decrease stress levels, weight loss and immune system boost. Q: What is the best way to introduce an exercise routine to someone who has never who has never exercise before? The best way to introduce would be, making it fun, making it effective and making it more into a functional type of exercise, for example: adding stuff to their daily needs, for example: If they play sports, make it into a sport-athlete type of routine, if they do an office job or if they do any sort of psychical activity that they require to get strong at, we will make it more through meet their needs and goals. Q: What should you expect the first week of starting a new exercise routine? The first week you should expect a little bit of muscle soreness and maybe to feel a little tired, but also the great benefits is that you will feel a lot better and your energy levels will build up, It means that you would not need to rest that much because you would get shorter-smaller rest full sleep. Also, on terms of physically within the first weeks you shouldn’t be expecting to see any results, but overall you are going to start feel greater, sleeping better, better mood and controlling stress a lot better. Q: How long does it take to make an exercise routine into a lifestyle? It varies from person to person, but I would say that once you stick for the first 3 weeks you could make it into a life habit. Q: How can somebody keep tracking of his or her progress? A good way to keep track of your progress is: there are a lot of phone apps where you can record and keep track of your weight, your exercises, and your routines. And the other way is the way I do it, I use the “old school method” (the book) I just write down my exercises, my weights and also write down how I was feeling and those little things. Q: Is there anything else you would like to say? Now is the time to make that change you have been looking for. Have you been wanting to change your life around and become healthier, get stronger and feel greater about yourself? Dont wait any longer, you might just be getting further from your goal! Make that change today, baby steps will go a long way! This was my interview with Carlos, hope you enjoy it and remember to:
Peace out!
